What is my IP address?

Hosting support may ask for your public IP to lift a block, restrict cPanel or SSH access or investigate a connection problem. This page reads the address from the connection your request reached our server through and shows it without adding unreliable guesses such as location.

Loading the tool…

This tool runs in your browser and needs JavaScript.

How to use it

  1. Just open the page; the address appears automatically.
  2. Press the run button. Results are listed separately as definite problems, possible issues, unverifiable and passed; each finding shows what was found, what it means, the fix and the limits of the check.
  3. Apply the suggested fix and run the tool again to confirm. Use “Copy result” to add the report to a support ticket.

Example

If cPanel blocked you after a few failed logins, copy this address into your support ticket. The “Example” button in the form fills in a scenario like this and shows the result immediately.

Scope and limits

The IP is read from the address your request reached our server from. If our site is behind a CDN, the client address passed by the CDN is used.

Your inputs are not added to the address bar or passed to analytics, and result pages are not indexed by search engines.
