Traffic calculator

A monthly traffic limit depends on more than visitors times page weight: caching reduces traffic and bots add to it. The calculator shows every step, estimates the peak-hour request load and compares the result with the plans' traffic limits.

This tool runs in your browser and needs JavaScript.

How to use it

  1. Enter monthly visits, pages per visit, average page weight and the cache and bot shares.
  2. Press the run button. Results are listed separately as definite problems, possible issues, unverifiable and passed; each finding shows what was found, what it means, the fix and the limits of the check.
  3. Apply the suggested fix and run the tool again to confirm. Use “Copy result” to add the report to a support ticket.

Example

For a site with 30,000 monthly visits and 1.8 MB pages, the tool shows roughly how much traffic is needed once caching and bots are included, and which plan suffices. The “Example” button in the form fills in a scenario like this and shows the result immediately.

Scope and limits

The calculation runs in your browser with your values. 1 GB = 1024 MB.

Your inputs are not added to the address bar or passed to analytics, and result pages are not indexed by search engines.
