JSON formatter and validator
API responses and config files often arrive as one long line of JSON. The tool makes it readable or minifies it; if it is invalid it shows the line and column of the error and explains common causes such as single quotes, trailing commas and comments.

This tool runs in your browser and needs JavaScript.
How to use it
- Paste the JSON and choose the output format.
- Press the run button. Results are listed separately as definite problems, possible issues, unverifiable and passed; each finding shows what was found, what it means, the fix and the limits of the check.
- Apply the suggested fix and run the tool again to confirm. Use “Copy result” to add the report to a support ticket.
Example
Find the trailing comma that breaks a plugin's settings file by its line number and fix it. The “Example” button in the form fills in a scenario like this and shows the result immediately.
Scope and limits
The JSON is parsed in your browser; the content is sent nowhere and never executed.
Your inputs are not added to the address bar or passed to analytics, and result pages are not indexed by search engines.
